About
Hi, I'm Steve Conti, the founder of 828 Take & Bake, and this journey has been anything but ordinary.
I’m originally from Western New York, where I grew up in a vibrant Italian-Swedish family with a deep love for cooking. Some of my earliest and fondest memories are in the kitchen with my Nonna—watching her cook, learning her techniques, and helping in any way I could. That’s where my passion for food truly began.
Although I always loved cooking, life took me down a different path after high school. I pursued another passion of mine—the motorcycle and powersports industry—where I spent over 20 incredible years. Later, I transitioned into a new role as the CEO of a small manufacturing company. But during my time there, life threw me an unexpected challenge: I suffered a serious injury while learning the new trade, and the road to recovery was long and difficult.
During my recovery, I was let go from the company. It was a tough moment—but also a turning point. With time to reflect and heal, I decided to return to my roots and follow the passion that had always been with me: cooking. That’s when 828 Take & Bake was born.
At 828, with the help of some amazing people, we offer frozen gourmet meals made with love, using high-quality ingredients and time-honored techniques. Each meal is designed to serve two people—perfect for couples, roommates, or anyone looking to enjoy a delicious, no-fuss dinner at home.
In addition to our signature meals, we proudly serve our family-recipe marinara sauce, organic all-beef meatballs that melt in your mouth, and a variety of homemade soups, hearty chilis, and fresh pasta and potato salads. Every item is crafted to bring comfort, flavor, and a touch of home to your table.
My mission is simple: to deliver exceptional flavor and convenience, and to treat every customer like family.
